Merry Christmas, 2012

Obviously Sara hopes you have a very Merry Christmas.  God knows she’s having one.  Well…she was having one.  2 hours ago she passed out on her face and hasn’t moved since.  That’s a Barbie Dream House behind her, gifted from all the Aunties and Uncles, who stayed up past midnight assembling it.  Greg and I called it “Intro To Christmas with Kids Boot Camp” (while we lounged with wine and slush…duh, we know better than to buy “some assembly required”.  Suckers…).

Kelly would wish you a Merry Christmas but she has bronchitis, pink eye, an ear infection, and various other problems from which I will spare you on this fine holiday. She’s told me she’s having a great holiday anyway, but that was whispered from a heating pad after her 10th dose of pink liquidy goodness.  Poor little Boo Boo Chicken. For Christmas this year, she’s getting round the clock cuddles from The Momma.

So from ours to yours, we wish you all the best this beautiful Christmas day.  And with travels ahead, blizzards predicted, and a sick little one in tow, I’ll swap a prayer with you this evening if you have a moment to spare.  Godspeed my friends….Godspeed.

Merry Christmas and hope that Kelly recovers quickly. Being sick is never fun, but especially not at Christmas. I laughed at the “some assembly required”. Oh, the years of my husband and I falling for that….and arguing at midnight while attempting to read the directions….or not read them and just wing it. Oh, yes, we learned a little too slowly and fell for that three years in a row. Ha! You KNOW I LOVE your blog! Thank you so much for writing and sharing. You are inspiring, funny, caring, educational and terrific all rolled into one! Hugs!
