Hi, welcome to gregandlori.com, and probably more appropriately, GregandLoriandSaraandKelly. Too wordy, no one would visit. Greg and I met on September 7th, 2002, when he called me (respectfully) a lesbian while I walked past him in a bar. To cover up for the case of mistaken identity, he proposed marriage. Forward, but genuinely sweet, so I accepted. We were married exactly 51 weeks later. 8 years, 3 cats, 2 relocations, and 2 daughters later, we are happily married and living in the Midwest; where the food is grown, if you live in a proper city and need to check your map.
Greg started this blog after Sara, our first daughter was born, in August 2005. I’ve since “stolen” his project, and as the primary author, use this blog to catalog the adventures of our girls, and the misadventures of our parenting. If only life had a few dress rehearsals…
Me? I’m a recovering career addict who never knew she’d marry, or have kids; just naively hoped, and one day woke up to my cup running over. And spilling everywhere, onto filthy floors and windows covered in fingerprints and why does my house always smell like peanut butter? So I left the job I loved to try my hand a something different: raising these two crazy girls and supporting my husband in his evolving career addiction.
Thank you for visiting our site and sharing in our memories. We cherish the technology that allows us to walk together and shed light on each others’ journeys. “God has been so very good to us”…….
P.S. while our families and friends are wonderful at leaving comments (and we love you all!), this site is always open for anyone’s comments….share your stories, your thoughts, or just say hello!
Godspeed, Lori aka “The Momma”
