Most of Sara’s conversations are centered around her two best friends, Bryce and Noah. We use their names to peer pressure her into doing about anything, “Really? Because Bryce and Noah love chicken. And they never pull their shoes off in the car….”, etc.
You can’t blame us entirely; she talks about them non-stop. The other night she was emphatically telling me that she was NOT ready for bed. Dug DEEP in my arsenal, and came up with, “Bryce and Noah have already gone night night”. To which she immediately grabbed my cell phone, whipped it open, put it up to her ear and fake called Bryce.
“Hi Bryce! Night Night? Bye Bye Bryce”.
Shuts the phone, reopens it one second later, and fake calls Noah.
“Hi Na Na! Night Night? Bye Bye Na Na”.
I can only assume that they both “told” her they too were busy taking all of the dishtowels out of their Mommy’s kitchen drawers, and after creating major havoc in the kitchen, needed to catch up on their Elmo-studying. They would need to pull an all-nighter. She handed me the phone with a very smug “I told you so” expression. Wow, caught red-handed in my deceit by a one-year-old and her two partners-in-crime.
