Today I couldn’t get Will Smith’s old diddy out of my head, “Summertime”. True, we have been land blasted with thunderstorms, tornadoes and rain for the past few days, but that drama is all part of a good, sticky Indiana summer. So our play of the day was SHUCKIN’ SWEET CORN! But not hot! The girls are too young to learn how to shuck corn right off the grill. I taught Sara the parts of corn, and how one can distinguish sweet corn from…less privileged corn. Then we balled some watermelon. Get a good balling tool…but beware, watermelon STAINS. It looks so innocent and pink…anyone who knows how to get watermelon streaks out of tiny girl tshirts, please let me know.
