Toddler EgoCentrism

Tonight at dinner, Daddy asked the usual, “What did you do today?”  I had a lengthy reply about how we learned that families come in all sizes.  We are a family of 4, with 2 children.  Some families have 1 child, and some have 2.  And some have 3 (inserting families we know of all sizes).  Some have 8 and get their own TV show!  We talked about brothers and sisters.  Mommy has 1 sister, just like Sara.  Daddy has 1 sister and 1 brother.

Daddy asked Sara, “What did you learn from all of this Sara?”

Sara (emphatically and with a deep sense of understanding):  I…..AM…..SARA!!!!

Daddy: Wow honey, you are so good at teaching, I think we should home school.
