Snow White!!!
This past weekend was supposed to be a Brycey Weekend. Moments before his departure, he fell off his playset. From the TOP. He will make a full recovery, thank God, but he took years off of Keri’s life. Trip canceled! BUMMER!!!!
I was worried about Sara’s disappointment. I started running around the house like a beheaded chicken, trying to think of really fun things we could do. Greg thought that perhaps we should “just act normal”. Normal? I had memories of sleeping late on weekends, eating pie at midnight out on the beach….BLAM! Wake up Lori! That was 5 years ago!
Greg wanted a little ice cream, so we headed over to the mall and put the girls on the train ride next to the Dairy Queen. Where Greg proceeded to spoon the girls ice cream WHILE they were riding the trains. Every time they went in a circle, he gave them a mouthful. When the ride was finished, both girls were smeared with vanilla deliciousness and laughing their diapers off.
Then onto JCPenney to buy tights in every shade of pink and purple we could find. Sara and I stopped at the new Sephora and tried on “a little” makeup. Both of us. Why wait? I have daughters NOW. YIPPEE!!!
On we went to the mall playground which was oddly and refreshingly deserted! On a Saturday evening! PLAY PLAY without being run over by 7 year olds? Buy me a lottery ticket!
We finished off the trip with a stop at the Disney Store. We NEVER go to the Disney Store. Child cocaine drifts through the air in the form of GIGANTIC WHERE THE HELL WILL I PUT THESE stuffed animals…all 2 for $20. Because I need TWO?! I don’t need ONE. But Sara has been begging to be Snow White for Halloween. I made a fistful of cash at consignment last week, and by Gosh by Golly, if my Duck wants to be Snow White, she’s going to be Snow White. I CRAZY LOVE HALLOWEEN! Have I said that like 10x already?!
Normal? Does this strike anyone as normal? I’d say Daddio had fun spoiling his baby girls just a tiny bit this weekend.
We went home to model Sara’s new dress before tucking it away until the big day. After which she can play in it as long as she wants. We’ve spent every waking moment since then making a list of medical supplies she’d like me to make sure Brycey has available. Keri, if you’re reading, please let Sara know he has a: teether, NEW box of band-aids, boo boo ice, respectable doctor on call who knows how to do more than just give shots, a little Tylenol, some tummy medicine, maybe Dino or comfy blankie, a few Dora videos, and a popsicle.
Get better Baby Blue. We all missed you at Noah’s CAR BLOWOUT 3RD BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!!! We love you sweetie.

Sara,
We missed seeing you this weekend. Bryce was so sad to miss having some great Sara time. Sara, I promise that I am taking care of Bryce. We even went to get a grape slush on Sunday. I am sure he could use a hug. Hopefully soon we can find a weekend to play!
We miss you like crazy!
Keri and Bryce
