As many of you know, I don’t “love” Elmo.  He can be a bit tough to take.  But while participating in Sara and Kelly’s FAVORITE late afternoon activity, I found a video of Andrea Bocelli singing Elmo to sleep.  The girls love watching kid-friendly YouTube videos.  3 minute snippets of Wheels on the Bus cartoons, “The Rhino Song”, British children dancing to “If You’re Happy and You Know It”.  We found many of these through one of our favorite blogs, Salsa in China, the beautifully written story of twin girls adopted from China (same age as Sara).  And every afternoon, for 3 minutes at a time, I get to clean up the living room and chop up dinner.  It’s like a little present for Mommy, right when I desperately need my 2nd wind.

So watch this video; if you like Andrea Bocelli you won’t believe your ears.  The only human on earth who could make Elmo tolerable, even lovable, to adults.  It’s the first video I beg the girls to watch.  Here is Sara completely mesmerized by it.
