Patterns

I’ve been trying to teach Sara simple sequencing and patterns.  She acknowledges its existence, but resists the rigid confines of patterns.  She prefers creativity over rules.  Using her Candy Land cards, Sara told me she’d like to create her own pattern.  She carefully laid down all of these cards, one at a time, and then sat back to admire her work.  After all, randomness is a “pattern” in its own way.  Let’s call it “Anarchy Patterning”.
