Processing

Jack’s pain meds are working and he’s been puke free for 24 hours.  While I know it’s all temporary with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, to have a day of no crying, hair standing on end, changing positions every 30 seconds, no painful puking of his esophageal lining…it’s been a very calm and and peaceful day.  Not perfect: Sydney somehow ate a piece of cheese and PROJECTILED across the kitchen.  Who on earth did I piss off in a previous life?

Sara and Kelly are now processing the drama of the past few days.  Clearly, a dramatic game of “Hospital” was on the docket for afternoon play.  I kind of saw that one coming.  Sara likes to use my left over fabric scraps for countless activities, our newest being bandaging the wounded.  By the look of Baby Lori, Noodle, and Sarabear, you could surmise that the basement was turned into a Level 1 Trauma Center today.

I’ve got some really bad news for America: I don’t think Elmo is doing so well:

  1. Only the best of rags for my girls. Sara refuses to wear anything but pj’s in the house and Kelly’s outfit? Oh yeah, it’s awful. Those are her two favorite hand me downs pieces and insists on wearing THAT. It’s so awful that I took a picture of it yesterday intending to blog about it. I’m serious, they are an old couple. Sara is the 80 year old man and Kelly is the 80 year old woman. I miss my grandparents, but my kids remind me of them every day.

    Lori 🙂
