Conversation between me and Sara yesterday while Kelly napped and Sara….DID NOT.  Sometimes I think keeping up with her is exhausting, but if I allow myself to just fall into her magical world of imaginary, it gets so much easier.

Sara: Can you play with me?

Mommy: Absolutely.

S: Let’s play doctor.

M: No, we’ve been playing doctor all day.  I thought we were going to play stationery.

S: We’ll play that later.  Let’s play doctor now.

M: We’ve been playing doctor for like 48 hours straight.

S: I thought we were going to play Recipe.

M: Yeah, but remember I told you I don’t have enough ingredients for Recipe?  I’m out of chocolate chips and raisins.  It’s no fun to play Recipe with Bisquick and flour.  What were you just playing?

S: I was playing Class Picture, but I have nothing to wear (looking so sad in her puffy pink Princess dress).

M: Why don’t you just go down the hall and find something to wear in Vanna White’s closet?  I installed it next to your room last night.

S: GOOD IDEA! (running down the hall).

S: (returns a few minutes later wearing the same thing): How do I look?!

M: You look great in that blue and green evening gown!

S: Are you ready to play Beach?

M: Yes, that sounds good, but you set it up because I’ll have to clean it up.

S: OK!  I’m going to go get some beach towels!  First I have to pick my bunnies up from their ballet class!
