Most kids say “Ruff Ruff” or “Meow” as their first animal sound. Probably “Moo” would win an all-time contest, if one were held. Kelly’s very first animal sound was an extremely guttural and hilariously off-key, “Ribbit Ribbit”. You almost have to know she’s imitating a frog, otherwise you might confuse it with a simultaneous burp/hiccup/throwing up in one’s mouth. She luva the frogs. We read “Froggie Goes A-Courtin’” and “Froggie’s Lunch” at least once a day. I love this picture of Kelly taking a break from her Froggie pull toy, while wearing Sara’s Froggy boots, to stop and sort through the shoe basket. Another activity she must do at least once per day.
I’ve tried to teach her to pair the shoes, but that would indicate she has A SINGLE cleaning gene in her body. Neither of my girls are willing to admit any sort of STRAIGHTENING UP abilities just yet. Unless you consider absolute RANDOM MESSY CHAOS a cleaning method.
