This game gets messy FAST, so do it on a day you were planning to mop the kitchen floor anyway. We call it “Recipe” and I took it from Amanda Soule’s book, “The Creative Family”. I take all the odds and ends out of my pantry and pour them in bowls (half a bag of chocolate chips, raisins, oatmeal, leftover nuts that I’d probably toss anyway, flour, rice, some pasta I’ll never finish because there is a fourth of a cup left in the box…). I give the girls measuring cups, spoons, whisks, and let them create their own recipe. It’s never meant for actual cooking, just for creative fun. They LOVE it.
