Like most toys from our childhood, silly putty has been given a crack pipe and gone technicolor.  It’s called “Galactic” silly putty, because the old grey-brown crud we found fascinating is apparently not tricked out enough for the Dora Generation.  It’s horrible and stains clothing, just to save you from that laundry discovery.  My favorite part of the new and improved silly putty is Sara’s name for it: The Funny Patty.
