Fashion Friday…Bring On The Hodge-Podge

Sara came sauntering down from her 30 minute nap today, having proudly dressed herself from head to toe.  I mean really, where do we start? First, I did not put her down for a nap in polka-dotted pajama pants.  It didn’t bode well for whatever outfit she had been wearing.  I wanted to make a mad dash upstairs to check for accidents, but I was too stunned.

Sara is also sporting her newest consignment find: a hot pink princess/fairy/well-worn dress.  She HAD to have it, and Grandma was buying, so we already know the outcome of that Case of The Gimmies.  What you can’t see are the fairy wings precariously hanging off the back.

Knowing she was going for a princess “look”, she added Snow White shoes and Kelly’s birthday hat.  I guess it had a princess feel to it.  What I’m not so sure about is the flashlight accessory.  Oh!  I know!  She got dressed in the dark!  Literally, figuratively…take your pick.

We ran upstairs upon hearing my niece Avery wake, to let her know the rain had stopped and we were headed to the sprinkler park.  The girls descended the stairs dressed and ready to go.  Nope, I never put them up to it.  Somedays they just need those sunglasses.

And while I posted this Kelly shot earlier this week, in the spirit of Kelly and her newest beach look, I shall repost it here:

While parts of her are planning to get wet, other parts are planning to stay DRY.

Oh how I love dressing girls.  If I could paint their portraits, I would title them “A Study of Hilarious Hodge-Podge”.

Head out to Salsa in China to view other great Fashion Friday selections!
