My own Seth & Amy SNL skit occurred this weekend:

Mommy: Sara, you and Kelly are going to have a sleepover tonight at Grandma and Pa Pa’s house.

Sara: NO!  The last time we had a sleepover, Kelly kept waking me up!  All night long, she just kept talking.  Grandma kept telling her “SHH…Kelly”, but she just kept talking!  I didn’t sleep at all!

The next part of this conversation took place in my head, because Sara would not have understood my complete disbelief.

Mommy: REALLY?!! Really.  Kelly kept YOU up.  YOU.  Kelly.  Who has slept like a rock since birth.  Kelly.  Who naps for 2 hours, without fail, without a peep, EVERY SINGLE DAY.  REALLY?! GIRLFRIEND, do you think we could call that IRONY?  Do you think you had that coming?  The child whom has been awakened by your screaming about a million times KEPT YOU AWAKE.  And you are complaining.  REALLY?  Unbelievable!  Said Mr. Pot to Mr. Kettle.  Shoe is on the other foot.  Getting a taste of your own medicine.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  Seriously. Really.

What I actually said,

Mommy: I’m sure tonight will be better.
