A Case of the Sillies

DSC_3513

Our girls are silly.  At least once a day I ask them if they have a case of the sillies.  Goofamongers.  Goofy-sticks.  Silly Monsters.  I have as many names for their silly as they have levels of silly.  Just when I think that’s IT!  They can’t make me laugh ANY MORE…I’ve laughed at as much as I can laugh at these two goof-a-pottamuses, they do it again.

Conversation today while Sara was visiting her UPTEENTH public bathroom:

Mommy:  Kelly, are you ready to try to pee pee in the potty?

Kelly: NO.  I never pee pee in the poppy.

Mommy: I know, and why is that?

Kelly: Betaaause…..ewww!  There is PEE PEE in the POPPY!

Conversation Sunday night at dinner:

Mommy: Kelly, I appreciate that you’ve eaten the zucchini and peppers, but I want you to eat some chicken.  It’s good.

Kelly:  OH NO Mommy.  I no eat da protein.  (As she hops down and walks away.)

Chit Chat with Sara in her bed Friday night after a particularly poor performance on her part at a friend’s birthday party:

Sara: Mommy, I don’t know what was wrong with me today at that birthday party.  I was flopping around like a sad monkey.

Mommy: Sara, I knew you were probably too tired to go, but I didn’t want to disappoint you by canceling.  Maybe I should have.  But in the future, we’ll need to find a better to talk about being tired.  You screamed so loudly that I think you scared those workers at Build-A-Bear.

Sara: I’m sorry Mommy.  I think it would hurt Emily’s feelings if she knew I was too tired to go to her party, so let’s tell her I had a lovely time and we should just leave it at that.

Mommy: Sounds like a gracious plan my dear (laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my cheeks…leave it at that…where does she get this stuff?).

Kelly’s Conversation with Pa Pa Bump today:

Pa Pa Bump:  Kelly, you are too cute.  Do you know that?

Kelly: Yeah, I get dat a wot (I get that a lot).
