One Funny Little Boo Boo Chicken

I’m not sure what is more amazing in these pictures: the fact that she sat still long enough for me to paint her nails, the fact that no matter where I hide those bracelets, she can find them, or maybe it’s that her ponytail is somehow perfectly weaved into that tiara that she is wearing upside down and backwards?  Nope, that’s not it.

The most amazing feat of the Boo Boo Chicken is that she can run full speed and down two flights of steps in G.G.’s high heels without tripping.  She can’t walk through Wal-Mart in tennis shoes without falling on her face, but put her in red pumps and she can find her stride.  And balance, apparently.

Kelly’s latest fascination is with Christmas.  Mickey Mouse’s Twice Upon a Christmas is her “Paborite Bideo”.  While everyone wished us Happy Anniversary on Monday around the dinner table, Kelly held up her glass and wished us a Merry Christmas.  Tonight as we played outside, she looked at the large pine tree in the neighbor’s yard, and asked with great anticipation, “Is dat a Chris-mus tree?”  But my favorite, as I lay next to her singing lullabyes the other night, she sighed and longingly whispered into my ear, “I wish ebery day tould be Chris-mus Mommy.”  Sara, almost dysthymic in her tone, leaned out over her bedrail and moaned, “Me too Kelly.  Wouldn’t that be fantastic?”

And expensive…for Santa I mean.
