My favorite blogger, Amanda Soule, is doing a series of “Postcards” on her website, Soulemama. I’m not afraid to copy greatness. Short and sweet thoughts throughout a busy holiday season seems quite pragmatic. Of course Ms. Soule’s photos and postcards are amazing and touching. Mine will be awkward and are sure to involve stories about cats puking and children missing the toilet. I won’t include photographic evidence, I promise.
Postcard #1
Dear Sara,
If Mommy says you can have 3 dried apricot slices and you eat 20, you’re going to get wicked diarrhea. But don’t take my word for it; go ahead and learn that lesson the hard way. It’s been a long day Ducky. A long, long day.
P.S. I’m letting you dress yourself more and more, mostly because I need the laugh. In this photo you are wearing denim capris, a purple hand me down tshirt, a brown dress, a towel on your head, the shoes I wore in my best friend’s wedding, and you are carrying a leather purse Pop Pop made for G.G. Oh yes, and you are carrying a hardback version of “Heidi”. You won’t let me read it to you, but you carry it everywhere. Classic Sara if I do say so myself.
