Sara on her first birthday
For the weekend, I’m going to link to you the best thing I’ve read this week over at www.wholemama.com. I admittedly read quite a bit: big books, small books, articles and abstracts, summaries and what-not. I enjoy digesting words nearly as much as I enjoy digesting corn chips (it’s OK, those are in the health food aisle here in Indiana). Every once in a while, I come across something that speaks to where I am right now, and I think as Mommas, many of us are here:
It’s been a tough week of failing to be calm, climbing Sara’s latest mountain (long story I shall celebrate via print if we ever get her to stop dribbling in her panties all day), and facing the usual 200 loads of laundry. This article made me laugh at myself and my endless Momma worries that I’m getting it all wrong. And just to give myself a break, I’m posting old pictures and choosing to set down the camera while”it” and I are not getting along. My photography is like a batting average, and sometimes, I just get in a rut of total suckage. I’m there…this too shall pass.

Amy Henry, the author of “Wholemama” also had a piece in The Wall Street Journal on March 23rd, “The Holy Grail of Parenting”. Also a good read. Thanks Greg, for reading twice as much as I do, and linking me articles I might have missed at E!Online. What? That’s NEWS too.

One response to “It Spoke To Me Today…”
We need to get together for the following reasons:
1) I, too, failed miserably this week
2) I am having horrible “I am the worst mother” moments
3) I need my Lori fix
4) I leave to Japan in 2 weeks and we need to see each other before I leave!
5) I miss my friend Lori!!!
Love you! Let me know if you can do coffee this week or next week…or a dinner… 🙂
