My dear friend Resa sent me a picture of her garden, and as much as the heat has proven that Indiana Summer has begun, when I opened up this picture first thing this morning, I felt it in my bones. YES. Indiana Summer is here. I can almost smell the sweet corn and wildly flavorful strawberries; English peas, blueberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes as big as my feet, gardens, flowers, County Fairs, ice cream, and the sticky humidity that hangs in the air 24 hours a day, making everything damp….nothing beats an Indiana Summer.
It came just in time for me this year. At first I thought, OH NO, all this drama is going to ruin my summer…but this morning as the girls awoke to pancakes and plans to go strawberry picking, it hit me…No, this summer will save me from my drama. Amen to that my friends.

Ahh Summer! Last year it didn’t get here at all until September – those were our only days above 70…and sadly the kids were already back in school…
Amen, sister!
I am sooo excited to see our first little strawberry! Our garden is blooming!
Soon we should have chives, garlic, banana peppers, tomatoes!
Looking forward to tomorrow!!!
