Our neighborhood is far too small to support a neighborhood pool, although we often stand together on our cul-de-sac lawns and lament that it would be nice.  Our blow up solution has worked fine, although both girls are now comfortable swimming in “big pools”, so I fear their state of blow up pool contentment will be short lived.  Many a long, hot afternoon has been whiled away in this very place, and it has been lovely.
