Going To The Chapel…

We will be taking a short break from our normal blog programming to attend the wedding of the girls’ Godfather/Uncle (my brother-in-law, Greg’s brother, Grandmommy and Grandaddy’s son..you get the idea) to Auntie Jess, our newest family member!  The Flower Girls are very excited, and Sara has promised on her favorite footie pajamas to act like a young lady.  Kelly told me she makes promises to no one, and she’ll do her best to not pick her nose (her words, not mine).

My Sous Chefs were more than happy to help me make wedding bell shaped cookies for the rehearsal dinner.  Sara made hearts because she told me, “I think weddings are about love, and I figured that out all by MYSELF!”

Kelly made a bunch of “T” shaped cookies, because, according to her, “T is the first letter in Tommy.  T-T-T Tommy.  I figured that out all my MYSELF!”  She was correct, even though she doesn’t know anyone named Tommy.  Pointing that out would be rude, so I kept that thought to myself.

Not being one to leave things to chance, I packed the girls a couple of “wedding bags” to use during the ceremony.  Their only duty is to walk down the aisle towards Daddy, and then veer to the seats and sit next to Mommy.  These surprise bags filled with new Tinkerbell blanks books and mechanical pencils, tiny Etch-a-Sketches, Rubiks cubes, HUGE DIAMOND RINGS, and Kleenex (and a little candy not pictured here), will await them.  Hopefully QUIET things to do, and MAYBE the ceremony itself might keep their attention.

I shall return to this space with stories and pictures in about 5 days.  Until then, the craft/snack tower is stocked (I may have outdone myself this trip)….Godspeed to us and to you my friends….
