Ribbon strips leftover from last year’s Halloween skirts….hmm, why did I keep them in a little baggie?  Because they were too cute to toss…but little did I know, in one short year they would be perfect manipulatives for patterns, place value, adding, substracting; my sewing room is a treasure trove for math homework.  And we thought we could only do math basics in the kitchen!
