Grandma Sara moved to heaven today, surrounded by a loving family, many wishing they could play just one more game of Russian Bank with her. I don’t know why…no one can beat her at that game. Seriously…Russian Bank and Ping Pong…she had 94 years of experience on us! She is gone, but we remain: 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. And our memories are long Grandma, very, very long. I promise to carry forward the pies, the jam, the waffles, and the homemade peach ice cream. Sorry about the Ping Pong, but really, I stink.
So to my Grandma Sara with no “h”, thank you for being a shining example of strength, wisdom, loyalty, and humor. When I see you on the other side, I’ll be expecting some apple cherry pie. That’s right! The Clown wants some pie. I can hear you laugh in my head right now…I just wanted to hear it one more time. I think I’ll miss calling you “Funny Lady” more than anything. I love you.

Sorry about your grandma. Sara’s without “h’s” are certainly special. My grandma died last year. My grandma ruled at euchre. Love your great memories of her! She sounds awesome.
My thought’s and prayers are with you and your family. I am sure whenever the time comes she will have that pie waiting for you.
I’m so sorry… She sounds like a incredible lady.
I am sorry to hear that, Lori.
I am praying for you and your family.
She is baking tons of pies “up there”.
Love you.
What a wonderful week end that was. The week end that picture was taken. Sara was a tower of strength. She was there when ever the family needed her. She was my mother in-law for 23 years and I miss her too. When I think of the farm I always think of her. God bless her. Love MOM
