We read “Alice in Wonderland” by candlelight during the ice storms (that book is far more odd than I remember), and I’m thinking the entire “Little House on the Prairie” series should be read in this manner.  Maybe “Heidi”.  Definitely “Little Women”.  I’m thinking on “no school nights” this might be more fun than movie night (so says The Momma; I can hear my girls groan, “We want to watch Curious GEORGE”, and I’ll bellow back, “EDUCATIONAL!  We must do something of VALUE!”….I’ll stop before I bore myself to sleep.)
