A SHOE GIVEAWAY (I know, catch your breath…)

OK Gang, can you even handle this level of noise?!  Shoes!  Need I say more?  I’m giving away SHOES.  These are more like “shoe accessories” if you will.  They are called “Cinderollies”, and they are the smartest little things invented since Kate Spade and Prada decided “high heels” equated to “torture devices”.  I’m not judging, mind you; I own them and I wear them.  But let’s face it ladies, some of our most expensive shoes really hurt before you’re ready to call it a night.

Introducing “The Cinderollies”: a silver or gold ballet flat that rolls up to fit inside even the smallest of handbags.  They are better than flops, which do not fold, nor accommodate hosiery.  They are better than regular ballet flats, that do not fit into any of my tiny Gucci handbags.  No more walking around dance floors at weddings in bare feet at 10 pm, hoping no one cares.  No more running in bare feet to grab a soda at work at 3 pm, hoping no one notices.

I am not being paid in shoes or cash, or otherwise.  My brother-in-law gave these to me as a birthday present (a good friend of his owns and runs the company), and quite honestly, I crazy love these things.  The second I slide on my red heels, I think to grab these and throw them in my purse.  I called up the owner/inventor and we agreed a giveaway would be a lot of fun.  Because?  FREE SHOES. Awesome.

I have a Medium Silver pair to give away, which according to their website fits an 7.5-8.5 size foot, but I wear a solid 7, maybe even a little smaller, and these fit me just fine.  They are stretchy (think of them as sweat pants for your feet, only prettier), so they probably fit a size 7 to nearly a size 9 pretty comfortably.  Surely more comfortably than the Jimmy Choos you’ll be peeling off when these come in handy.

Here’s how to enter: leave a comment about shoes: any comment will do.  Tell me you love shoes.  Tell me about your favorite shoes.  Tell me your favorite brand of shoes.  Tell me a funny shoe story.  Here, I’ll get you started: when I was as poor as a church mouse and finishing my second degree, I was invited to a very fancy Charity Ball.  I conned my Dad into buying me a dress, having nothing to wear, but I couldn’t afford new shoes.  I took an old pair of white satin prom shoes and tried to dye them on my stove to match the new dress.  I dunked the entire things in boiling water, and while I was on my way to the Ball, the rubber soles peeled off.  I ran in my gown, shoeless, into the grocery store and bought a tube of super glue, in a desperate attempt to reattach the cheap soles to the shoes that were disintegrating before my eyes.  I then, in the parking lot, now late for the Ball, proceeded to glue my hand to my shoe.  Oi vey…can I get myself into some pickles.

So there you have it…any comment about a love of shoes will enter you, multiple comments and multiple entries are welcome, along with International shipping addresses.  Women everywhere love shoes.  The winner will be chosen this Sunday evening, 9 pm, EDT (changed to Sunday due to so much interest), by a random number generator.  I will notify the winner and ship these to you in the lovely little blue box you see above!  As a special note, if you wish to buy these in bulk for your bridesmaids, wedding party, or other event, contact Chris Capbert at chris@cinderollies.com for special pricing.

  1. I want these shoes. I love shoes ! Went to work last week in my favorite probably 10 year old pair of leather clogs that I wear constantly and realized that one felt loose. I looked down to find a blow out. ugh…and I can’t find anymore. They were Montega Bay clogs. Send me them silver shoes !! Love ya.

  2. ok one more story……one day being kind of rushed in the morning and almost late, it was after I got to work , in fact almost lunchtime when I went to restroom and happened to look down only to find I have on a navy shoe and a gray shoe. Funny thing was, one was open toe and the other one wasn’t, haha. Send me them silver shoes. 🙂 Or…I like any color.

  3. So, all of my shoes are uncomfortable…or maybe I just have uncomfortable feet. Either way, free shoes are good:)

  4. Oh my have I tortured my poor feet for the love of a great pair of heels!!! Not to mention the fact they they just make your legs look longer & leaner!!! I wore a pair of my favs to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory at The Fashion Mall…thinking we only had time for dinner & not shopping! Well we did have time for shopping & for the love of Nordstrom I hoofed it all the way to the other end of the mall…oh my the pain & agony on the way back to the car…off with the shoes & barefoot through The Fashion Mall! It grossed me out but the pain out-weighed my disgust of how dirty the floor was! At least I was at The Fashion Mall & not Castleton 😉 I could have used the cute little numbers in my purse that evening!!!

  5. This momma needs a new pair of shoes!! I love them all…solid, leopard print, high-heels, flats, flip flops and tennis shoes. I’ve never heard of these Cinderollies, but every woman should feel like a princess, right? Do you ship to Australia?

  6. You had me at shoes! 🙂 I have a sad obsession with them. Jay is probably right when he tells me I need to get rid of some. He says for every pair I buy I have to get rid of three! (It never really happens.) Shoes can make or break an outfit. And these little Cinderollies are super cute!

  7. Jennifer,

Of course I ship to Australia! I meant to make mention that International shipping is perfectly fine in all of my giveaways. I have readers literally all over the world, and they all wear fab shoes!

  8. Kathi,

We’ve all done the blue/black switcheroo, but gray/navy/open toe/closed toe? Now that’s one for the record books! Love ya! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hahahaha! That charity ball story entirely sums up the amazingness that is LORI. If someone were to ask me, “So, what is your friend Lori like?” I would say to them, “Here, read this story about shoes and a charity ball.” xoxoxo 🙂

  10. I must have these – free or not – for my New York DIL. . . shoes are not only her “guilty pleasure” but anything with bows makes her smile her beautiful smile. And, anyone who married my first born deserves a smile. These look great, and what a super idea. . . wish I had them at the last wedding I attended.

  11. Weddzilla loves Cinderollies & the wonderful designer behind the brand, Chris Capbert! His genius designs are comfortable AND affordable- a girl’s best friend! We run a weekly blog post on giveaways, the next one will run Thursday, and we’d love to feature this giveaway in it!

  12. I used to wear what I think were cute shoes all.the.time. Now I typically wear my comfy merrells. Brynn and Cole already have more than their fair share of shoes, all gifts! They have a bigger wearable shoe wardrobe than I do at this point 🙂

  13. Oooooooo……I need these for the bridesmaids for my wedding! Perfect gift for them? They can use them at the wedding reception and later too! Thanks for posting this, Lori. And yes, I want a pair myself, so….I agree with Jessica: my favorite shoes now are Merrells. Can’t beat the comfort and they last FOREVER!

  14. What a fun giveaway! and funny stories too…I work from home and usually do so in handknit slippers…much of the year here – snow boots are the only thing to wear outside the house – mine are some pretty snazzy Sorels…

  15. I only wear flats at this stage in my life. I want comfort over fashion after all the years of torture on my feet. I can’t remember the last time I wore anything higher then 1/2in. I would love to add these way to cute shoes to my wardrobe. Thanks Lori!!!

PS-Hope you are feeling better and the germs have left your home 🙂

  16. Great giveaway! These look like a great product. I totally agree with Sue’s comment

  17. Did you know that Greg and I went to school with the owner’s big sis?

Okay, funny story is that I hate shoes. I have a wide foot and shopping for shoes sucks b/c nothing “cute” comes in my size and everything, for the most part, has to be special-ordered. So last summer, I went to Ireland for my cousin’s wedding and I had no heels (an especially difficult thing to shop for) to go with any of my summery dresses – the only ones I had were hot pink. Totally should have just found a dress that matched those (super comfortable) shoes. I ended up hating the shoes that I bought so much that I left them in Ireland.

  18. Hey Lori! so fun reading all of the comments from your readers. so glad everyone likes them, good luck to the winner! for those that want them in red or different colors…stay tuned. we will be rolling out new colors and some fun prints very soon on the website. black comes next. but then either lipstick red or pale pink. if there are any other color suggestions you’re looking for, we’d love to hear it! suggest away on our fb page http://www.facebook.com/cinderollies and we’ll consider them all! We also offer bulk discounts for weddings and BM gifts so send me an email at chris@cinderollies.com and we’d be happy to take care of you! thanks again to Lori, what a cute little post! and good luck again to the winner! you all are great! chris

  19. I remember as a child, my mom and I would go shopping and mom would buy shoes. We would get home and I would announce as we walked in LOOK at the shoes mom bought. Dad would roll his eyes. LOL. Mom then pulled me aside and told me that from now on we NEVER tell dad that we bought a pair of shoes. We just quietly carry them to our room and then when he questions the shoes we say “oh, these old things, I’ve had them forever.” LOL

  20. I can’t turn down a chance to win free shoes. They look very cute and comfy and maybe they will work well on my feet – which are two different sizes. A 7 and a 7.5!

  21. We just posted our weekly giveaways blog featuring your giveaway- we’re so excited to share this news with the blogging community!

  22. I have had a love hate relationship with shoes most of my life. I have flat feet and I have broken my feet numerous times. This means the wonderful stylish stilettos aren’t my friend. I have however; found that I can find beautiful flats when I put my mind to it. I’d love to own these cinderellos for when my feet get tired after midnight.

  23. I have had a thing for heels since the 8th grade. I’m only 5 feet tall (and 24 years old) and have always strived for that sense of height. I bought my first pair of heels at Bakers. They were wood with a red patent leather strap across the toes that tied in the middle into a knot (think a button down shirt that you unbutton halfway to tie into a knot in the middle). I wore those babies until my sophomore year of college until the soles were coming off and the heel tap needed replacing twice!

Now that I’m getting married this December, I’ve found another beautiful pair of heels for the big day. Thing is…we’re planning on partying it up, so these Cinderrollies would be PERFECT for me to keep dancing the night away.

  24. I love these…I just recently did a post about the footzyroll shoes..which are the same idea…but maybe the name isn’t as great…I am dying to try a pair of these adorable little flats that roll up to nothing in my purse.
    Pick me! Pick me!

  25. i loveee flats! i can’t stand heeled shoes, their just not for me! but these are super cute!

  26. These are absolutely lovely. And they are so ingeniously comfy. 🙂

Thank you, Lori, for all your encouragement and prayers. I really, really appreciate them. Your kind words are always a boon to my spirit. I send you my hugs from across the Pacific. God bless you always!

  27. Love these shoes… and they are my size!!! I am having an outdoor reception and these will be great for when I start gettin’ jiggy on the dance floor!!

  28. Here’s my best go at a unique shoe story, because I really want these free ones. 🙂

Organists wear special shoes when playing the organ. The average person doesn’t know this, so I love it when a child (or better yet, a mature adult) notices in passing at work or at a recital that I’m wearing “weird” shoes and their jaw drops in shock (no joke!) and they stare at my feet, saying…..”You wear special SHOES when playing the organ??!”

The best thing is, they are like ballet slippers with a heel, and are extraordinarily comfortable, so we like to wear them even after we’re done playing. Thus we wear out the soft suede sole sooner than necessary!

They’ve started making them in different colors for women; I played my masters recital in silver shoes. 🙂 But normally I wear my black or ivory pair.
