So here’s the thing about a big table covered with bright salads and 5 different types of Italian entrees and teas and lemonade pitchers and desserts…it’s fantastic for the nose, but doesn’t photograph well. You know what does? More flowers! Which we gave away during the luncheon. I wish you could open my blog and smell the Chicken Parmesan, Spinach Ravioli, Garlic bread, salads with homemade dressings, Greek-style Calzones, Meatball Calzones, Miniature Cheesecakes, Lemon Bars, Pineapple Pies, and Chocolate Cookies. The luncheon went off without a hitch, and Puccini’s will get my catering business again. Stick with their pasta…it’s what they do best. The parents donated salads and desserts, and they spared no expense of time or effort. It was a feast, I tell you. Just when I think, “Oi vey, how am I going to get so many volunteers?”, the school fills with parents who are so ready and willing to help, it’s just mind-boggling. I’ve never worked with such a capable group of people. Volunteering at our school is simply a joy.
Dave has reignited his enjoyment of origami-making, and dropped off a gigantic Pegasus…
a scary green dragon, and a large, diving hawk. Alas, as you can see above, when I got to the dragon and bird, my flash was as tired as I was. I did make a few decorations last week, but in all the hub-bub, I haven’t had a moment to post a picture of my “United Nations Of Flags Hallway”. There are more flags, but again, tired Mommy, tired camera.
Tomorrow is Mexican Day! The fun just keeps rolling on! I’ll give you a hint: feeding 90 Staff Members was a lot of fun, but imagine what it would be like to feed their entire families as well? Stay tuned…
