Our Apologies Mr. Bear

We’ve made an important biological discovery: Max is actually a BEAR.  A rare, white-whiskered bear.  We’ve been calling him “the quilt” and “fat cat” and, well, and I’m not proud of this, “the trash compactor”.  For many moons we’ve discusses his overweight-ed-ness, when actually, he is a very petite bear.  In bear terms, he’s downright skinny.  I’m not sure he’ll forgive us for this classification error, so we’ve started feeding him out of a picnic basket in an attempt to make amends.

Yes Max, we are the dumb humans, who after witnessing you eat an entire chicken leg, bones and all, didn’t realize you were a bear.  Please don’t eat us in our sleep.

  1. I have a painting of a cat that looks amazingly like Mr. Max. Only the cat is fluffier. The name of this painting you ask? Fat Cat. It was my mom’s and she gave it to me. I think it is time for that painting to make a trip to Indianapolis.
