When Daddy rescues bunnies from the basement window wells, we get to see them before he lets them go.  This one is my favorite, with his big ears, reminding me of Jeri Lander’s Hopalong Jack and the Blue Bunnies.  I’ve met Jeri Landers and I find her illustrations to be endlessly fascinating.  Luckily Daddy rescues all the bunnies before it’s too late.  Or so he tells us.  Should this fact ever change, I think it goes without saying that 3 ladies in his home would prefer to never know…
