Sara attended her first formal tea party, and as a true lifetime first, she wasn’t covered in food, sundry art supplies, and the ends of her hair were completely unchewed. She smelled so unchildlike, I almost didn’t recognize her.
When I picked her up, she was covered in some kind of orangey-pink soda, her hair was smashed under a tiara, and her face was covered in cake. Oddly, but per my instructions, her gloves were spotless. Ah yes, there’s my Ducky Wigglebottoms! I know you! For many hours following, the stories rolled in. She simply could not stop talking. Apparently, formal tea parties for the 1st grade set are just about the coolest thing on the planet, especially if while touring the manor you get to hold an impromptu freeze dance party on the 3rd floor. To be 6 again…one can only dream…
