{this moment}

This moment I will remember that no matter how crappy this week has been, if we compare it to a year ago, there is simply no comparison.  I will remember that my tiny Ducky Wigglebottoms has completed 25 weeks of intensive eye and occupational therapy, and is now academically above water.  And while I want to crawl under the covers and forget that her bladder is flirting with an infection 9 days before her bladder testing that took me 6 months to schedule, I won’t let it deter me from our forward motion.  It will clear.  Her doctors will find answers. This moment, I will keep a calm mind and voice after walking her, screaming, through 2 days of doctor appointments (none which involved her even being touched).  She is done with this madness, but I will find a way to keep her going.  We’ve been through much worse than this week. She is better.  We are better.  1 bad week can’t take that away.

  1. Sara’s math teacher is a photographer. I’m going to have some beautiful pictures to share this year, because she shares all of them with us, and is great at capturing them individually! Love it!

  2. We are by your side in spirit. We found an amazing MD who practices as a naturopath this summer and are finally making forward progress with Alexa’s health. We haven’t been able to get Alexa to put her b.m. in the potty. It would fine, considering her age, but with her digestive issues she can have up to 6 b.m. a day, in her clothes. We throw away panties around here like they’re disposable. We too have to remind ourselves how far we’ve come on the days Alexa won’t eat, gets a face rash, tells us she’s throwing up in her mouth and cries because her belly hurts.
