About a month ago I finally got around to making Cousin Avery a Maxi Tube Dress from No Big Dill to match Sara’s. It’s, um…coat season here (the fastest doesn’t always win the race!), so I made it a full size too large so she can wear it next summer. Sara’s will hopefully still fit her, considering the Halloween skirts I made 2 years ago still fit both girls, and look brand new. I must sew clothes to last. Who knew?
You might be wondering where is Kelly’s dress? A) Her fabric is an adorable vintage zoo print. B) She wants nothing to do with it. C) Even when I offered to make her a dress with the watering can fabric, she refused. D) She claims the stretchy top is too “grabby”. E) There is no way I’m sewing a dress she won’t wear, and F) She wants this. I knew that was coming. We’ll see.
I could have cropped out or fuzzed up their absolutely destroyed bedroom, but that would be chopping out the remains of a good Cousin Avery weekend. When she comes to stay, there is EVIDENCE. Oh how I love this merry band of mess-makers!
