I guess my children have overheard me saying God is everywhere, because for Christmas this year? They are celebrating IT ALL. Kelly brought home 2 Menorahs and a candle. Sara made a lantern while learning about Ramadan. When they ask me about different religions, I tell them they are all paths leading to one God, and he lives in all of us. Everyone is different, and we see the world differently, so God gave us many ways to reach him. There is no wrong way to love God or celebrate his presence, although I’ve warned them many believe in just one path. Sara asked me where the Atheists shop for Christmas, and leave it to her to stump me. I don’t have all the answers, little ones, but apparently, I have all the candles…

One response to “Happy Everything”
This is the exact approach we take with our girls as well. We have hit some bumps along the way with others who are in the “one track” mindset, but we have managed (so far) to avoid too much trouble.
