Sunday Sleepies

For whatever reason, I am simply exhausted this weekend.  Perhaps it’s the mental rest that follows big decisions.  I’m sure more on that will come soon enough.  Perhaps it’s just the listlessness that inevitably comes in late winter.  Perhaps it’s because we did a major overhaul of the sewing room, which meant I spent a few delightful hours in there today with my sister, working on projects long overdue.  At any rate, tonight…I’m watching the Academies as I always do, but without my usual zest and fanfare.  I’m barely awake, but I dare not fall asleep, because as with every year of loving the Cinematic Arts, I MUST KNOW.

So tonight, I’m sharing a quick picture of my favorite Christmas Crafting.  I shared many wrapping adventures in December, but not this one.  Less is more…but only in very specific instances, and rarely at the holidays! Plain white paper from the Dollar Store, a leftover strand of butterscotch fall ribbon from the clearance bin at Wal-Mart, and 2 minutes of some dark green and cream paper in the Cricut.  It held an antique lace tablecloth for my Mother, so this ballerina snowflake design from Winter Lace felt fitting.  Go ahead, tell yourself now that you’ll buy paper on clearance for next year’s wrapping.  Cut the coupon.  Forget.  Remember on December 20th.  Rush out.  Stay up late crafting.  Join the club.

*To the robotic blogging internet police: I was not paid or reimbursed in any way for this post.  BUT, if the Dollar Store, Wal-Mart, or Cricut shows up on my doorstep tomorrow, offering me free stuff?  I’m taking it.  OK?  I like the Dollar Store.  Sue me.*
