Every time Sara loses a tooth, she asks if I’m going to make her a tooth fairy bag. The request has invariably been made RIGHT AFTER she’s been a real stinker. Sara can be a handful of sass and backtalk; the kind that makes strangers stop and stare at me in a grocery store check out lines, with which I am FINE…Grandmas have a right. But to the hippie Dad with his clearly benadryl’d toddler sons in the cart today, shooting me the long glances while maneuvering through my 1 billionth trip with 3 girls and a grocery list from hell…let me just say…COOL IT DUDE. YOU HAVE NO FREAKIN’ IDEA. Moving on. Sara lost a tooth and was especially sweet last week. She’s catching on. With only 10 minutes before bedtime, I did make her this very free-handed, very crooked bag, complete with a pocket for the tooth. Daddy texted Ms. T.F., as we DO, and it holds 6 quarters quite nicely. What it lacks in perfection it more than makes up for with love, and Sara thought it was Bomb-Diggety Awesome. And now another little girl in my house with no loose teeth has taken to wiggling her’s all day long…
