Guess who else had a Zoo trip Field Trip this week?! That’s right…the Boo Boo Chicken was next in line, and THIS TIME I was neither sick nor conflicted. This cord remains uncut, as it shall remain forever and ever. Amen. She’s my baby, and this is not up for discussion.
In reality, Kelly is pretty good at cutting the cord herself, but every once in a while, she prefers to be attached to me, and in those moments, I am at peace with the world. I’m not exaggerating; I actually feel inner peace when Kelly is near.
I’m pretty sad to see the Vertebrate Unit come to an end. This Kindergarten Unit of study marks all that I have ever, and will ever, learn about Vertebrates. Or as Greg likes to say, “I’m paying for 2 girls to go to school, but I’m getting 3 educations out of the deal.” I’ll be OK. The Pilgrim Unit comes next, and there will be Pilgrims Craft Day, and the Thanksgiving Feast when parents come in costume to prepare food…so very much to learn, um, I mean…look forward to…
