This year our little Team has so much for which to be thankful. It has been a year of miracles. A year of challenges, setbacks, and stunning victories. It has both aged me forward, and added years to my life. What a thrilling ride.
For my first Thanksgiving Postcard this year, I think I’m most thankful that I didn’t miss any of it. Because of Greg’s hard work and dedication to our priorities, I’ve not missed a single moment with our precious little girls. Field trips, class parties, Daisy Scouts, therapy, tutoring, teacher meetings, volunteerism at the school, days off, early pick ups, endless summers, chances to grab lunch with Greg, little errands that give him back time, homework assignments, bad moods, great moods, really, really terrible moods…ALL OF IT. I drank it in (and sometimes I wanted to spit it back out), but regardless, this year was fully mine to inhabit.
This year, I am thankful for TIME. It’s been the most priceless of gifts I have ever received.
Picture: Kelly at Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio Daisy Scout Outing. She made a puppet she named “Rolena”, who according to her, is 17 years old, and loves carrots. Her puppet loves vegetables. My victory dance involves fists pumping in the air, just as an fyi.
