I think of ALL the Valentines we’ve made (6 years worth?), this might be my favorite. It’s an idea from Pinterest, where original ideas go to be copied by the Universe. These were super easy, and super low-stress. A picture formatted and printed on semi-thick, somewhat-glossy, but still rather-cheap paper at Kinko’s, an exacto knife, a bag of lollipops, and there you have it. Done.
Had we used flat heart lollipops, it would have worked better, but we rarely compromise on taste. Let’s face it: Blow Pops are the KING of suckers. I’m a Dum-Dums girl myself, even if they are a Junior Varsity Blow Pop, but Dum-Dums don’t theme for VDay. Dum-Dums theme for no man, especially one in diapers carrying a weapon. I respect them for that. Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone! And remember: it’s for everyone. It’s not just for romantic love…it’s for all love. It’s more fun when everyone is included!
