Father-Daughter Dance

Would they pose for pictures? Nope. Would she let the Momma pick out shoes? Most certainly…nope. Did she at least allow me to put in some curls and bobby pins? Yes, a few, and she said she LOVED it. But the sporting half of our family does not like posing for pictures when they are ready to dance. They danced and danced. Sara received a lovely wrist corsage (of which, of course, I have no pictures), and she said it was the best dance of her life. Considering it has been her only dance? Hey, let’s not split fine hairs. Daddy is a fantastic date. I can vouch for him.

Quite honestly, I think half of Sara’s excitement is about this dress I let her pick out. One-sleeved, covered in crystals, altered by Goomommy so it fits perfectly, the color of? DANCE. It’s the color of dance. I have a feeling this dress will be worn as many times as she can find an excuse to put it on. I’ve said it 100x, but it bears repeating: there is nothing happier than a girl with a new dress and someplace to wear it.

  1. Love it!!!! Dress wearers unite! Reilly has never outgrown her love of dresses and getting dressed up. 🙂 Maybe this is why she loves musical theatre…..there are always costumes.
