What isn’t apparent from this photo is that the guns were favors from a “Frozen” birthday party. Awesome. They got crowns, princess wands, and Nerf guns. That’s one helluva party in our book. I know there are those who are anti-gun, and anti-Barbie, and anti-TV, and anti-McDonald’s…and…you know…well? I just don’t have the energy. When your kids hit Lower School, it’s enough to get the projects done, along with the taxi-driving, and the feeding of the mouths who seem to always have something to say. If I had time to judge you, it wouldn’t be about the kinds of toys your kids play with or what they had for dinner. If I had that kind of free time, I’d have my laundry folded. Who am I kidding? I’m never folding that laundry.
So if my girls want to put on dresses to play “Coronation Day”, and discover their big day has been interrupted by bad guys which necessitates a gun battle? I’d like to think my daughters are prepared for anything. Why the battle called for a large Vera Bradley tote and mismatched shoes is beyond explanation, but let’s focus on the win. The good guys arrived in style and the bad guys were shot in the hiney with styrofoam sticks. AH! The inhumanity!
They used to be sweet, tiny princesses. Now? These girls are growing up. They have a kingdom to protect. Step aside Hans. Princess Bad-ass, and Princess…Bad-ass Jr. are here, and the gig is up, Man. The gig is UP.
